Hwang In-beom and Ko Young-joon can achieve maximum double in Zvezda and Partizan, respectively.

Tsurvena Zvezda, which includes Hwang In-beom, succeeded in advancing to the semifinals with a 3-0 victory over Vrshatz in the 2023-2024 Serbian Cup quarterfinals at Stadion Raiko Mitic in Belgrade, Serbia, on the 11th (Korea time).

Aleksandar Khatai scored the first goal in the sixth minute of the first half to get off to a fresh start, before Sherif Ndiaye scored back-to-back goals in the 20th minute of the second half and Osman Bukhari scored back-to-back goals in the 37th minute of the second half to secure a complete victory. Hwang In-beom, who plays as a core resource in the league, did not play due to lack of physical stamina. He has not played in cup matches this season.

With only one match left from the cup to the final, Zvezda is also leading the league. It has 24 wins, two draws, and three losses with 74 points. It is four points clear of Partizan, who is ranking second. The Serbian Super League will have regular rounds through the 30th round, before a total of 16 teams are divided into eight teams for playoff rounds. The system is similar to that of the K-League.

Zvezda has the most wins since the 2006-2007 season, when Serbia and Montenegro separated into countries, winning a total of nine championships. It is a prestigious tradition that has won 19 league titles in the past Yugoslavia.

Ahead of the 2023-2024 season, Hwang was wearing a Zvezda uniform for 5 million euros. He is considered a key resource in his team as he has recorded the highest transfer fee ever for a club. He had four goals and four assists in 21 league matches this season. In the UEFA Champions League, he also scored one goal and one assist against Manchester City.

On the other hand, Partizan, which Ko belongs to, still has a chance of winning two competitions, the League and the Cup. Partizan kicked off a shootout immediately after a 1-1 draw in the 2023-2024 Serbian Cup quarterfinals at the Stadion Partizana in Belgrade, Serbia, on Sunday, winning 4-3. Ko was sent in the 27th minute of the second half.

Partizan, too, has a chance of winning the league. It trails Zvezda with 22 wins, four draws and three losses, and 70 points. With four points remaining, the team enters the playoff round and still has the conditions to turn it around. Partizan follows Zvezda with eight wins in Serbia’s Super League. 핑크알바

After finishing the K-League as a member of Pohang Steelers in January this year, Ko moved to Partizan and successfully entered the European leagues. Since then, he has made a soft landing in Serbia and played nine league games, scoring one goal.

This is a double condition for Serbia, which is open to both Hwang and Ko. Of the two biggest Serbian rivals, Zvezda and Partizan, only one is able to record a double in their first season.
