The Korea Football Association is facing a situation where there is no breeze inside and outside. With two World Cup qualifying matches to be won, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is set to make an interim announcement and a parliamentary audit. Chairman Chung has no choice but to attend the parliament as a witness following a series of questions by the National Assembly’s stylistic committee on Tuesday, and face a barrage of questions from lawmakers of both ruling and opposition parties. Although he is not on the list of witnesses yet, the possibility cannot be ruled out that the stylistic committee will call on Hong again.
Another task for the KFA is that technical director Lee Im-saeng, who appeared as a witness to the National Assembly’s questioning on pending issues, has to find a replacement when he announced his resignation.
