Ahead of this season, the Texas Rangers signed Jacob deGrom to a five-year, $185 million contract.

Despite being a 34-year-old veteran and injury risk, Texas took a gamble.

The New York Mets didn’t even offer him a contract extension because they doubted his health.

As it turned out, the Mets were right. DeGrom hasn’t pitched since suffering the injury on April 29 against the New York Yankees.

Texas placed him on the 15-day disabled list.

On April 6, Texas retroactively 안전놀이터 placed him on the 60-day disabled list.

He was expected to return in late June.

However, no rehabilitation was scheduled for him. That’s because he decided to undergo Tommy John surgery.

Texas is currently in first place in the American League West without him.

He won’t return until the second half of next season at the earliest.
