According to the Pohang City Baseball Softball Association, the two players will participate in the ‘7th World Youth Baseball Championship’ to be held in Tainan, Taiwan from the 28th.
Daehaecho is the only elementary school in Pohang that has a baseball team. The two players, who are in the 6th grade, proudly named themselves as the national team of this tournament by winning the 3rd place with excellent performance at the ‘2023 Presidential Office Invitational National Youth Baseball Championship’ held in May.
In addition, Chung Ki-moon, the head coach of the Daehae Elementary School baseball team, will also participate as a coaching staff for the national team.
