There were no compensatory players worth a minimum of 600 million won and a maximum of 1.1 billion won.

The time to exercise the 2023 KBL free agent compensation designation has passed.

Seoul SK, Anyang KGC, Suwon KT, and Daegu KOGAS opted for cash compensation for their free agents.

Choi Jun-yong of SK, Moon Sung-gon of KGC, 먹튀검증 Yang Hong-seok of KT, and Jeong Hyo-geun of KCC, KT, LG, and KGC were traded to KCC, KT, LG, and KGC, respectively, through this free agency market.

The clubs opted to spend a minimum of 600 million won and a maximum of 1.1 billion won in cash. This means that there were no compensated players worth that much, and it’s also a solution to the financial pressure.

In fact, SK was the last to decide between cash and compensated players. They decided to take their first option, 1.1 billion won in cash.

KCC will pay SK 1.1 billion won, 200% of Choi Joon-yong’s 2022-23 salary of 550 million won, KT will pay KGC 1 billion won, 200% of Moon Sung-gon’s 2022-23 salary of 500 million won, KGC will pay Jung Hyo-geun 600 million won, 200% of Jung’s 2022-23 salary of 300 million won, and LG will pay KT 1 billion won, 200% of Yang Hong-seok’s 2022-23 salary of 500 million won.
