The Korean B team defeated Vietnam (5-0), Taiwan (4-0), and Thailand (6-1) in the group stage to reach the finals. The final opponent was Japan. Korea gave up the first goal to Keigo Nakayama in the 21st minute of the first half. Just before the end of the first half, the opponent’s own goal balanced the score at 1-1. However, in the 8th minute of the second half, they gave up the winning goal to Sota Matsunaga. Korea was unable to turn the game around and finished as runners-up.
