Pohang Steelers head coach Kim Ki-dong expressed confidence in his team’s head-to-head dominance throughout the season ahead of the 2023 Hana OneQ FA Cup Final against Jeonbuk Hyundai.

Kim was speaking at a pre-final press conference for the FA Cup Final at 5 p.m. on March 3 in the conference room of POSCO Headquarters in Pohang, North Gyeongsang Province. Pohang will take on Jeonbuk at the Pohang Steel Yard on April 4 at 2 p.m. for the title.

“Before the season, I said that this year is the 50th anniversary of our founding, so we have to win,” said Kim, who attended the press conference with captain Kim Seung-dae. It’s been 10 years since we won the FA Cup, and this is the final at home. I want to prepare well so that we can win in front of many fans, and I will do my best until the end,” he said before the match.

Kim reiterated his confidence in Jeonbuk, having won three games and drawn one this year. “We have the confidence that we haven’t lost to Jeonbuk this year,” Kim said. If we had a bad result, there would be some pressure, but this year everything worked out well. The players will approach the game with confidence,” he smiled.

Meanwhile, Kim is cautious about the AFC Champions League tickets, which will be awarded to the FA Cup winner. The Korea Football Association and the Korea Professional Football Association must decide whether the FA Cup winner should be awarded AFC Champions League Elite tickets or AFC Champions League 2 tickets, the next tier down. 무지개토토 도메인

“It will be decided in the future,” Kim said, before adding, “My opinion is that the FA Cup is also a very big competition in Korean soccer. It’s a competition that includes not only professionals but also amateurs, so I think we should give them elite tickets to the AFC Champions League because it’s a prestigious competition.”
