Yang Hyun-joon’s inability to join the Olympic team has made it impossible for him to join his team, Celtic FC.

The Korea Football Association (KFA) announced on the 5th (Korea Standard Time) that “Yang Hyun-joon’s Celtic FC, which had been included in the list of 23 players for the final qualifying round for the Olympics, has finally announced that he will not be able to recruit players due to team circumstances. He will depart for Dubai with the national team today.”

Yang left Gangwon FC for Celtic during the last season. He had one goal and three assists in 22 matches in the Scottish Premiership this season. He also played in two matches at the Asian Cup, which was held in January, at the behest of the Korean national soccer team. Born in 2002, Yang was expected to join the U23 team and lead Hwang Seon-hong to the Olympic finals.

However, there was a change of concern. The U23 Asian Cup, which doubles as an Olympic qualifier, is not mandatory for his teams to be drafted. So Hwang also went to Europe in person to ask for cooperation in recruiting teams. Hwang said at the time, “The players who were included in the Olympic team visited the club and got their promise,” but he could have changed his mind at any time. As Celtic changed his stance, Yang ended up boycotting the upcoming Asian Cup. 룸알바

There is a possibility that the rest of the players will also be rejected. Notably, Bae Joon-ho, who played an active part in the Western Asian Football Confederation (WAFF) U23 Championship but was called back by his team Stoke City on the way. After Bae’s return, Stoke City escaped from the relegation zone with one win and one draw in two matches, but still has no leeway. As there are five matches in April alone, it is not easy to recruit Bae due to the team’s circumstances.
