Boston has rebounded from a three-game deficit to win two of three in the National Basketball Association (NBA) Eastern Conference Finals to send the best-of-seven series to Game 6.
Boston won Game 5 of the Eastern 메이저놀이터 Conference Finals against Miami on Saturday, 110-97, to even the series at two games apiece. Boston took a 2-0 lead on Jayson Tatum’s first basket of the game, a layup, and never relinquished the lead. There were two ties (2-2, 4-4). “I think the series is over,” Boston forward Jaylen Brown said after the win.
The Heat used a balanced scoring attack with four players scoring 20 or more points, including Derrick White (24), Marcus Smart (23), Brown (21), and Tatum (21). By comparison, Miami didn’t have a single player score more than 20 points. Even Miami’s “ace” Jimmy Butler was held to 14 points. This is his lowest point total in a single game in the POs this season. Butler had averaged 29.6 points in his 14 PO games this season prior to this one. Miami shot itself in the foot with 13 interceptions on the night.
Game 6 between the two teams will be played on Jan. 28 in Miami’s backyard. “We need to finish the series at home,” Butler said. The final Game 7 is scheduled for Boston’s home court.
