Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher predicts Arsenal’s title failure.

Arsenal are returning to their former glory under Mikel Arteta. Despite missing out on the title last season, the Gunners proved to be competitive with young players like Xherdan Shaqiri and Gabriel Martinelli.

This season, they’ve strengthened their squad even further. They broke the club’s transfer record with a £150 million ($173 million) deal to bring in Declan Rice and were successful in signing Kai Havertz. As a result, Arsenal currently sits atop the table with 36 points (11 wins, 3 draws, and 1 loss).

However, according to the UK’s Sports Bible on Friday, Carragher claimed that Arsenal will fail to win the title as they did last season for two reasons.

The first was a reliance on theater goals. Arsenal have often scored in the dying minutes of games this season to secure victory.

Arsenal’s wins against Manchester United (4R), Brantford (13R), and Luton Town (15R) were all won with theater goals in the final minutes of the game. They also scored after 35 minutes of stoppage time against the likes of Chelsea and Manchester City.

Carragher added: “Arsenal are scoring a lot of goals late in games, which can be good or bad. There are games that are easy to win, but none of them seem to be easy for Arsenal this season.” 보스토토

The goalkeeping issue was also mentioned. The Gunners currently have David Lahaya, who was brought in on loan from Brentford. Raya has excellent feet and is strong in the buildup from the back, but has been shaky in goal. Even in the 4-3 thrashing of Luton Town, Raya was at fault for two of the goals.
