The 2024 Youth Yanggu Football Festival will not have any performance or awards given to first-year high school players, while prioritizing their performance and chances to play. However, the festival gave motivation by selecting the most valuable player in each game as a sportsperson and awarding a two-ball gift certificate to the scorer 30 minutes after the first half.

In addition, a total of 1 million won in prize tickets raised during the festival will be donated to social welfare organizations building Yanggu.

Yoon Jong-seok, chairman of the Korea Football Association’s High Subcommittee and head coach of Jang Hoon High School, said, “Playing on the natural grass apart from the victory is the best gift for first-year high school players,” adding, “The festival will be of great help to improve the athletic experience and skills of growing players, and we will collect on-site opinions so that the festival can continue to develop.”
