The 2026 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Women’s Asian Cup, Asia’s most prestigious women’s soccer tournament, will be held in Australia from March 1 to 21, 2026.
AFC said on its website on the 13th, “The 3rd AFC Women’s Football Committee recommended the schedule for major women’s soccer tournaments, including the 2026 Women’s Asian Cup, the 2031-FIFA Women’s World Cup Qualifier, and the 2028 Los Angeles Summer Olympics.”
First, the women’s Asian Cup will be held in three cities, Sydney, Perth, and Gold Coast, Australia, for three weeks from March 1 to 21, 2026.
Stadium Australia, Western Sydney Stadium, Perth Stadium, Perth Stadium, Perth Rectangular and Gold Coast Stadium have been confirmed.
The preliminary round for the women’s Asian Cup will be held from June 23 to July 5 next year for a total of 11 berths. Australia, the host country, will automatically advance to the finals.

Accordingly, the first preliminary round of the 2031 Women’s World Cup will be held from April 10 to 21, 2029. The second preliminary round, which will be joined by Korea, Japan, and China, will be divided into six groups of four teams and will be held from Nov. 27 to Dec. 8, 2029. The first and second places in each group will pass the second preliminary round, but the schedule for the third preliminary round has yet to be confirmed.
The qualifying round for women’s football at the 2028 LA Olympics begins in October 2027 and runs through March 2028.
The schedule for the AFC’s major women’s soccer tournament will be finalized if approved by the AFC Executive Committee.
