The EAFF E-1 Football Championship (East Asian Cup), hosted by the East Asian Football Confederation (EAAF), will be held in Korea in July next year.

The IAAF said on its website that it held the 77th executive committee meeting in Hong Kong on Thursday and confirmed the schedule for the East Asian Cup to be held next year. According to the report, the East Asian Cup will be held in Korea from July 7 to 16, 2025. The IAAF and the Korea Football Association have yet to announce the schedule of the games and the host city.

The East Asian Cup is an international soccer competition in which the men’s and women’s national soccer teams of the Korea Football Association (EAFF) participate. It is divided into a men’s competition established in 2003 and a women’s competition established in 2005. Next year’s competition will be the 10th for men and the 9th for women.

South Korea, China, Japan, and Hong Kong will participate in the men’s division of next year’s competition. South Korea has won the tournament nine times and is the most winning country in the tournament. Coach Paulo Bento led the team in the ninth tournament of 2022 in Japan and finished second behind Japan. 온라인바카라

As the East Asian Cup is not an official FIFA competition, national team coach Hong Myung-bo is expected to set up a national team focusing on domestic teams except for European teams preparing for next season. As the third Asian qualifying round for the 2026 North-China World Cup has ended in July next year, the event will likely be a test stage for promising players and young players in the K-League.

It is unclear whether North Korea, which has confirmed its advance to the finals, will participate in the women’s tournament in South Korea, with South Korea, China and Japan confirming their participation.
