The “2024 Big Bird Soccer Festival” hosted by the Suwon World Cup Stadium Management Foundation (hereinafter referred to as the Foundation) ended successfully.
The Big Bird Football Festival, held at Suwon World Cup Stadium’s auxiliary stadium and artificial stadium on the 26th, was hosted and organized by the foundation and was held with a soccer tournament, various events and experiences.
This event is a representative soccer promotion project of the foundation that all residents of Gyeonggi-do can enjoy together.
A total of 60 teams participated in the auxiliary stadium, including 40 youth soccer teams (7-13 years old) and 20 female soccer clubs in Gyeonggi Province.
The Artificial 1st Ward Office added to the excitement of the participants with various experience booths and foods such as sports boxes of the Gyeonggi Provincial Sports Council and play boxes of the Dojang Aein Sports Council, as well as air bounces, soccer challenges, calligraphy, and food trucks.

“The Big Bird Football Festival was designed with the hope that it will be a venue for a festival where all participants can enjoy rather than competition,” said Lee Min-joo, secretary-general of the Foundation. “The foundation will continue to carry out various projects for the development of soccer promotion in the future.”
Meanwhile, the foundation plans to promote soccer promotion projects such as the Secretary-General’s Cup soccer tournament, goalkeeper’s clinic, and Big Bird Dream Ball by the end of the year.
