Pohang Steelers coach Park Tae-ha is determined ahead of the away game of Buriram United.
Pohang will play the third round of the 2024/25 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League Elite (ACLE) League Stage at 9 p.m. on the 22nd (Korea Standard Time) at Buriram Chang Arena in Thailand.
Pohang, which has recorded one win and one loss in the past two games, remains in seventh place among the 12 teams. It is true that if it wins against Buriram, which can advance to the round of 16 with a total of eight matches, the probability will be even higher.
On the other hand, Park Tae-ha, who succeeded in turning the mood around by racing with five undefeated matches (three wins and two draws), cautioned against negligence, saying, “We must never relax.”
“Buriram is the leading Thai league team with history and tradition,” coach Park Tae-ha said in a pre-match press conference. “The away game is not always easy, but we will do our best to achieve good results.”
Asked how he prepared for the match against Buriram, he said, “The Buriram squad consists of very good players. In terms of performance, there is also a wide gap between the other teams in the league. When I saw the two previous ACLE matches, I thought they were a competitive team. We have many good players tactically and good performance, so we have devised and prepared how to deal with them.” 안전놀이터
Team Pohang, which has been on an away trip to Thailand, is in a state of exhaustion due to the long journey. Even after arriving in Thailand, they traveled five to six hours from the capital Bangkok to Buriram. “It was a long journey, so it was tough. I am tired, but if you are a professional athlete, you should be ready in everything,” Auberdan corrected his mindset.
In response, Park Tae-ha said, “As I am playing in the K-League 1 at the same time, tight schedule and fatigue were my biggest problems. I have never experienced a game where I can take a day off like this while playing in the league. I canceled outside training scheduled for Tuesday and focused on my recovery. Weather is not a big problem in Korea as summer has just passed. I don’t know how much fatigue I have recovered, but I think the players will be able to overcome it and perform well.”
