Park Ji-sung and Lee Young-pyo, who opened opportunities for players to advance overseas in the past for the development of Korean soccer, should take an important role at the Korea Football Association, said Huh Jung-moo, a candidate for president of the Korea Football Association.

At the Parktel in Songpa, Seoul on the 25th, candidate Huh Jung-moo held an official press conference to run for the 55th president of the Korea Football Association.

Huh Jung-moo, who had a brilliant career as a player, retired and took the leadership path. He led from the national team to the K-League team, and achieved a great achievement by leading Korea to the first round of 16 away at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

Since then, he has been an administrator, including the vice chairman of the Korea Football Association, the vice president of the Korea Professional Football Federation, and the chairman of the Daejeon Hana Citizen.
He challenged himself to the position of president of the Korea Football Association on the day. He said, “The Korean soccer is on a shaky ground. The self-righteous and self-righteous operating system has resulted in the collapse of the system. I have decided not to remain as a bystander anymore. It is time to stop the crash,” he said, explaining the reason for his candidacy.

“Today, a series of opaque and immature administrations and shameful acts that do not want to correct mistakes even though they know their mistakes have lowered the status of the association, and Korean soccer has regressed. To overcome this, it is time to create a transparent and fair system,” he said.

Candidate Huh Jung-moo of the Korea Football Association, which has been controversial due to administrative difficulties, suggested five ways to solve this problem. Candidate Huh Jung-moo promised to operate transparent and fair associations under the (companied) Open KFA, With All, and ▲ (fair) system, guarantee creativity and autonomy of ▲ (balanced) regional associations, prepare a system for fostering and appointing ▲ (transparent) systematic leaders, foster ▲ (cultivation) soccer dream trees and improve women’s soccer competitiveness.

In addition, Huh Jung-moo encouraged young soccer players to participate in the administration. “We must do it (administrative participation) without thinking,” he said of Park Ji-sung and Lee Young-pyo, who were his students when he was a coach. “We must not just think about it. They should not stay for a while and go out,” he said. “They are busier than me. I will not act as best man. We need a position where we can take responsibility.”
Earlier, the two had walked as administrators at the Korea Football Association. Park Ji-sung served as the head of the Korea Football Association’s Youth Strategy Division in 2017, and Lee Young-pyo served as vice chairman in 2021.

However, neither of them stayed at the KFA for a long time. Park Ji-sung left the KFA after a year, and Lee Young-pyo stepped down to take responsibility for the controversial amnesty issue involving irregularities such as match fixing by the KFA.

Heo Jung-moo said they should create an environment where they can work. He said, “They are soccer players with ample overseas experience. The Korea Football Association needs such figures. We need to give them the power to lead their work in an atmosphere where they can work properly and in a leading atmosphere.” 바카라사이트

In addition, candidate Heo Jung-moo pointed out that soccer players should unite as one for Korean soccer. He said, “All soccer players should join together. Opinions can be divided. But for soccer, we have to unite as one. It may take a long time, but I will put everything down and run around on my feet.”
“When I was looking at other sports, I envied them fighting each other but uniting as one for their own sport. So should we. It is time to put down the distinction and move on. Rather than expressing my opinion and sticking to it, I will try to hear more stories,” he said.
