Gangwon FC Lee Sang-heon was selected as the best player (MVP) in the 33rd round of Hana Bank’s K League 1 2024.
Lee Sang-hun played as a substitute in the second half and scored two goals to lead Gangwon to a 3-1 victory over Incheon United at the Incheon Football Stadium on Sunday. Lee scored consecutive goals in the 40th minute of the second half and extra time in the second half.
The best match of round 33 of the K-League 1 was between Daegu FC and Jeonbuk Hyundai at DGB Daegu Bank Park on Sunday. Daegu led the game thanks to Cesinha’s first goal in the sixth minute of the first half and another goal by Lee Je-ro in the 35th minute of the first half. Starting with Lee Young-jae’s chasing goal in the 13th minute of the second half, Ahn Hyun-bum’s tying goal in the 34th minute of the second half and Moon Seon-min’s come-from-behind goal in the 42nd minute of the second half, turning the game around 3-2.
Just before the end of the second half, Daegu ended its 4-3 come-from-behind victory with dramatic goals scored by Edgar and Park Se-jin. Thanks to its dramatic victory, Daegu was also selected as the best team in the 33rd round of the K League 1.
Cheonan City Mota won the 34th round MVP of the K League 2.
Mota scored one goal and two assists in a match against South Gyeongsang Province FC held at Cheonan Stadium on Saturday, to lead the team to a 3-1 victory. Mota even helped Tungara and Lee Ji-hoon score, including the winning goal that determined the outcome at the 16th minute of the second half. The best match of round 34 of the K League 2 was also selected as a match between Cheonan and Gyeongnam. In the match, Cheonan had taken the lead with Tungara’s first goal in the 43rd minute of the first half, but just before the end of the first half, South Gyeongsang Province Dongjin Park scored the equalizer, bringing the game to square one. Cheonan had won 3-1 with Mota in the 16th minute of the second half and Lee Ji-hoon in the 30th minute of the second half.
Cheonan was also selected as the best team in the 34th round of the K League 2, with Lee Ji-hoon and Tungara named as round best 11, including round MVP Mota.
The best 11 and MVP of the K-League round will be selected through quantitative and qualitative evaluation by the Technical Research Group (TSG) under the Korean Professional Football Federation’s Technical Committee.
