Seoul E-Land FC expressed its determination to win ahead of the first playoff stage in nine years.
Seoul E-Land will play the home game of Hana Bank’s K League 2 2024 playoff against Jeonnam Dragons at 4:30 p.m. on the 24th at Mokdong Stadium.
Seoul E-Land suffered a disappointing loss to Jeonnam in the final game of the regular league, but it is determined to achieve both goals of revenge and promotion at the same time through this playoff.
Manager Kim Do-kyun’s rich experience is reassuring. He is the only professional among the coaches of the teams participating in this season’s playoffs who have survived the playoffs.
In the 2020 K League 2, Suwon FC was promoted to K League 1 through the playoffs, and last year, the team remained in K League 1 through the promotion and playoffs.
Coach Kim Do-kyun said he considers “mental” as a key factor in the playoffs. “I feel that the players have improved a lot throughout the season. However, I want to emphasize that we need to be stronger mentally. Physical preparation is important, but we also need to show strong commitment to promotion mentally,” Kim said.
Coach Kim Do-kyun then said, “Since we play at home and are in a better physical situation, we will prepare to overpower the opponent with mental and physical strength.”
Meanwhile, Osmar, who is experiencing the playoffs for the first time in his 10th year in the K League, expressed expectations.
Osmar said, “Unfortunately, the results of the last game were not good, but I’m very excited about the playoffs as it can be a wake-up call. All the players have changed their minds and minds, and they’re still on their toes.”
He also emphasized his hunger to win. “Sometimes there is something more important than a tactic. We need to show more aggressive performances in the playoffs and hungry performances that desperately want to win promotion to the K League 1,” Osmar said.
Attention is focusing on whether Seoul E-Land, which is writing a new history with its best record ever, will be able to continue its challenge to its first promotion.

The part I want to highlight in the playoffs.
-Looking back at the season, I feel that our players have improved a lot. People around me say that the overall game management is difficult to deal with.
I think I’ve improved a lot, but the part I want to emphasize more is that I have to be stronger mentally. I have to be able to overcome and overcome the crisis with stronger mental strength, but I think I’m disappointed in those parts, and I think we have a better chance of winning this playoff by having a stronger mentality and fighting the opponent on the field.
How do you feel about playing in the playoffs again in four years after 2020.
-A lot of time has passed, but I think it was a year when I felt that the level of the K League 2 teams has risen a lot. I think we have a chance of winning only when we prepare well physically and mentally stronger. I think we can play the playoffs with good performance only when the conditioning and the sense of the game are maintained steadily during the rest of the time.
I felt during the playoffs in 2020, but I think both (body and mental) are important because being physically ready is very important and you need to show a strong will to get promoted mentally.
Say something to the opposing team.
-Since (both Busan and Jeonnam) have been playing in the K League 2, I think our opponents would feel burdened as well. However, since we play at home and prepare for a better situation physically, we will prepare to overcome our opponents with mental and physical strength.
So far, I am not nervous. I am preparing comfortably. I think you are thinking about those things and preparing because you always emphasize that you have to prepare really strongly in your mind.

The determination to play in the playoffs for the first time. 스포츠토토
-It’s my first time in the playoffs. I’m happy that we’ve achieved some goal of reaching the playoffs this season, but we have higher goal. Unfortunately, the results of the last game weren’t good, but I’m very excited about the playoffs as it can be a wake-up call. All the players have changed their minds and minds, and they’re still on their toes.
What do you think is the most important thing in the playoffs.
-First, controlling your emotions is key. You have to turn that feeling into a hunger for victory. Sometimes there is something more important than tactics. In the playoffs, you have to be more aggressive and hungry to get promoted to the K League 1. So I think this is more important than tactics, set pieces, and personal abilities. When the game starts, everyone has to show their best performance.
We are doing well enough. This is our home, so there is a big advantage. No matter who comes, we have to show that it is not easy in our home and that we want to advance to the playoffs more than our opponents.
