The South Korean national soccer team maintained its 23rd place in the FIFA rankings.
In the world ranking announced by FIFA on Monday (Korea time), the national team maintained its 23rd position, becoming the third highest among Asian countries. The ranking point is 1585.45. Since its announcement on April 28, Korea has not played an A-match, keeping its ranking unchanged at 23rd. Following Korea are Australia (26th, 1544.15 points), Qatar (46th, 1474.6 points), and Uzbekistan (58th, 1424.93 points).

Team Korea had difficulties due to appointment of Coach Hong Myung-bo ahead of the third Asian qualifying round for the 2026 North-China World Cup. If the team ranks second or higher in the group at the third qualifying round, it can advance to the World Cup finals.
