Hwaseong FC, which dreams of a “special soccer city,” has submitted application documents for membership in the 2025 K League 2 and is left with final approval.

Hwaseong FC has approved its proposal to join the K League 2 in 2025, which was presented to the 5th board of directors of the Korean Professional Football Federation at the Swiss Grand Hotel in Hongeun-dong, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, on the afternoon of November 29 (Friday). The K League 2 entry will be finally approved at the general meeting of delegates to be held in January 2025 after paying the K League membership fee.

Hwaseong FC has carried out various activities to promote professional activities. In order to form a civic consensus and create a boom-up atmosphere, it organized a public-private joint professional promotion committee (36 professional members and 579 citizens) and held an appointment ceremony, signed a business agreement with the Hwaseong and Osan Education Support Office in Gyeonggi Province, co-hosted a soccer tournament in 54 middle and high schools in Hwaseong and Osan, with 1,300 people, held the first Hwaseong FC Bae Youth Soccer Festival, held a professional promotion academic seminar in collaboration with local Jangan University, visited various parts of the region, held a briefing session (6 times), visited 29 towns and villages in Hwaseong, listened to opinions, and held a school boom (27 times, 2,000 participants) to collect opinions from various citizens.
