Team Hong Myung-bo will have a showdown with Kuwait at the Jabeur Al-Ahmad International Stadium in Kuwait City at 11 p.m. on Saturday. The team will then move on to Amman, Jordan, where it will have its sixth match with the Palestinians at 11 p.m. on Sunday.

According to the Korea Football Association (KFA), 10 main players, including Cho Hyun-woo (Ulsan HD), Kim Kyung-min (Gwangju FC), Lee Chang-geun (Daejeon Hana Citizen), Lee Tae-seok (Pohang Steelers), Lee Myung-jae (Ulsan HD), Lee Ki-hyuk (Gangwon FC), Kim Moon-hwan (Daejeon Hana Citizen), Kim Bong-soo (Kim Cheon-sang-moo), Joo Min-kyu (Ulsan HD), and Oh Se-hoon (Machida Zelvia), will be convened at Incheon International Airport around 9:30 p.m. on the 10th.

Players playing in overseas leagues such as Son Heung-min (Tottenham), Kim Min-jae (Bayern Munich), and Lee Kang-in (Paris Saint-Germain) will join Kuwait.

Korea, which seeks to advance to the World Cup finals for the 11th consecutive time, has played four matches so far in Group B of the third preliminary round. It is leading the way with three wins and one draw (10 points). It is closely followed by Jordan, which ranks second, and Iraq, which ranks third with seven points or more.

Kuwait, on the other hand, remains in fifth place with three draws and one loss (three points).

South Korea has 12 wins, 4 draws and 8 losses against Kuwait.

Attention 안전놀이터 is focusing on the physical condition of Son Heung-min, who recently returned from injury.

According to ESPN on the 9th, Tottenham manager Engie Postecoglou said, “I hope Tottenham and the Korean national soccer team will cooperate to manage Son Heung-min’s injury.”

Postecoglou said, “I don’t want to get involved in the planning of the national team’s coaching staff. I felt uncomfortable when I was influenced by the club when I was an Australian coach,” but added, “I hope that Son will maintain good physical condition and play his role in both teams. I am confident that both Tottenham and the national team will be able to achieve positive results through this,” urging them to join forces to manage Son’s injury.

In the last two official Tottenham games, Postecoglou made an early replacement to protect Son Heung-min.

Son Heung-min played 55 minutes in the English Premier League (EPL) match against Aston Villa on the 3rd and 45 minutes in the Europa League match against Galatasaray on the 8th.

Regarding Son Heung-min’s shorter playing time, Postecoglou explained the reason, “systematic management is currently underway, but we need to avoid situations where additional injuries come out in the position.”

Coach Hong Myung-bo emphasized that he would consider Son Heung-min’s physical condition as the top priority when announcing the call-up list on the 4th, saying, “The basic principle is that we should always protect the player.”
