Olympic Judo medalist Hur Mi-mi will visit Gimcheon Stadium.
The Gimcheon Sangmu Professional Football Team (CEO Bae Nak-ho) announced on the 23rd, “We invited Olympic judo silver medalist Heo Mi-mi (Gyeongsangbuk-do Sports Council) to the 28R match of Hana Bank K League 1 2024 at Gimcheon Stadium at 7 p.m. on the 25th.”
Based on her relationship with Kim Jeong-hoon, the coach of the North Gyeongsang Provincial Sports Council from Gimcheon, Hur will cheer for Kim’s victory in the home game by congratulating him before the game begins. Heo Mi-mi had multiple nationalities in Korea and Japan, but she chose Korean nationality back in 2021 because of her grandmother’s story that she wished she could play in Korea. It is also a well-known fact that she is the fifth generation of independence fighter Heo Seok.
With her outstanding skills, Hur won medals at the Universiade and Asian Championships, raising expectations. In May this year, she won a gold medal at the World Judo Championships.
