Shinsegae has announced its retirement from professional life.

“I am retiring. I am ending my professional career for 14 years. The love that my fans gave me was a fundamental strength and a driving force that I could overcome in times of need. I am grateful for sharing joy, sorrow and pleasure with me in the life of a player. Suwon Samsung, Sangju Sangmu (currently Kimcheon Sangmu), Gangwon FC, Suwon FC, and Seoul E-Land were all thankful and honored to have been able to play with such a great team,” Shinsegae said in announcing their retirement.

“I want to thank the coaches and coaches for leading me on this poor day. I was not an exceptional player, but I was able to survive in the K-League because of my outstanding teammates who were always there for me. I am so grateful to my teammates. I want to say thank you and love you to my family who sacrificed and supported me infinitely. Now I will make my own sacrifice. I will move forward with excitement in my second life,” he added. Shinsegae also expressed respect for the team they played by listing the uniforms they wore during their professional careers.

Shinsegae started their professional career at Suwon. Having had the advantage of being able to play all the positions of defenders, Shinsegae has established itself as a multiplayer. He mostly played right fullback and also played left and center back. After joining the military as a resident, he has maximized his multiplayer ability by playing in all positions except for goalkeepers.
