The East Asian Football Federation (EAFF) E-1 Championship (East Asian Cup) will be held in Korea in July next year.
EAFF announced on the 17th that it had decided to hold the 2025 EAFF E-1 Championship in Korea from July 7 to 16 next year through the 77th board meeting.
Korea will host the EAFF E-1 Championship for the first time in six years since the 2019 competition in Busan.
The specific schedule and location of next year’s competition are undecided.
In the EAFF E-1 Championship finals, four men’s and women’s countries will participate in the full league.
In the men’s division of next year’s competition, Korea, Japan, China and Hong Kong will compete for the championship trophy.
In the preliminary round held from the 8th to the 17th of this month, Hong Kong took the last place in the men’s team.
South Korea is the most winning country in nine men’s tournaments ever, with five wins.
In the previous 2022 tournament under head coach Paulo Bento, he was completely defeated 0-3 in the final match against Japan and finished second.
The women’s division of the EAFF E-1 Championship will also be held in Korea in July next year.
