Pohang Steelers coach Park Tae-ha and Baek Sung-dong expressed their commitment ahead of the match against the Yokohama F. Marinos. Park Tae-ha said he would launch a lineup with the Korea Cup final in mind.

Pohang will have an away match against Yokohama at 7 p.m. on Tuesday (Korea time) in the fifth leg of the AFC Champions League Elite (ACLE) league stage in the 2024-25 season at Nissan Stadium in Yokohama, Japan. Pohang has recorded six points (two wins and two losses) in its first four matches. It desperately needs to add more points to advance to the tournament.

Coach Park Tae-ha, who held a pre-press conference against Yokohama, said, “I think Yokohama is an organized team, and we have good players especially offensively. I don’t expect an easy game tomorrow,” adding, “It’s an away game, but we’ll do our best to get good results.”

Baek Sung-dong, who came together, said, “I’m looking forward to playing against the Japanese team after a long time in Japan. As you said, the opponent is a good team and has good players,” adding, “But we will do our best to play well and take good results as we prepared.”

Pohang will play against Yokohama and play Ulsan HD in the final match of the Korea Cup three days later. “We have an important competition called the Korea Cup, so we have been planning our membership plans despite a tight schedule,” said Park Tae-ha, who is struggling to catch two birds with one stone. “We have prepared a dual team of players for the Korea Cup and those from ACLE for about a month.”

“Even so, I don’t think ACLE is an easy competition for us to watch. I believe that the players who will play in tomorrow’s game will do well because they did not have much time to participate and were competitive enough to fight against their opponents.” 온라인바카라

Meanwhile, Baek Sung-dong will play in Japan for the first time in a long time through the match against Yokohama. Baek Sung-dong played for J-League clubs such as Jubilo Iwata and Sagan Dosu in his early career. Later, he moved to Suwon FC in 2017 and made the K-League stage.

Baek Sung-dong said, “I don’t know if there are fans who remember me when I played in Japan, but I’m very excited to play in Japan for the first time in a long time,” adding, “Rather than showing my growth, I’m just thinking about how to show the play we prepared as a team and the play we prepared personally on the field.”
