Shin Moon-sun, a visiting professor of sports record analysis at Myongji University’s Graduate School of Records and Information Science, who competes with former President Chung Mong-kyu of the Korea Football Association (KFA) in the upcoming election for the 55th president of the Korea Football Association, said, “Let’s broadcast the open discussion” between the candidates, which is likely to be successful.

“Chairman Chung said he would participate in open discussions as much as he wants, so I welcome him,” Professor Shin told OSEN over the phone on Wednesday. “I watched his candidacy press conference. He also uses out-of-body speech. When an open discussion is held, I will draw out the truthful answer through accurate questions.”

At 2 p.m. on the same day, Chairman Chung held a press conference to run for the 55th president of the Korea Football Association at the conference hall on the first floor of the Ponyjeong Foundation building in Jongno-gu, Seoul, and said, “I will participate in public discussions with other candidates as much as I want.”

The election is expected to be held in a three-way race between former chairman Chung, professor Shin and former national team coach Huh Jung-moo.

Professor Shin said in an additional press release after the telephone interview, “It is the only decision that candidate Chung made to hold an open debate during his term as chairman,” adding, “I will regard the open debate of this election as a success because candidate Chung’s intention to ‘do it anytime’ and candidate Heo Jung-moo were already “welcome” to my proposal for an open debate.”

On the 6th, Professor Shin proposed an open discussion between candidates for the next KFA president. He suggested, “I hope that candidates will have a public discussion with each other by setting various agendas, including the vision and philosophy of candidates, the agenda for the finance of the Korea Football Association, the pending issues on the construction of the Cheonan Football Center and the position on the results of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism’s audit.”

Heo immediately replied on the day Shin suggested that he would accept the discussion, saying, “Welcome. I would like to suggest it from my side as well.” On top of that, Chairman Chung also expressed his willingness to participate in the press conference for his candidacy.

Professor Shin said, “This makes it very likely that a public debate will take place. I will ask Chairman Chung accurately and persistently about the controversial part. If you use the out-of-body speech method, you will ask again and bring out the facts.”

According to Article 20 (Subject, Method and Restrictions of Election Campaign) of the KFA Presidential Election Management Regulations, candidates can attend policy debates hosted by the committee on the premise that all candidates agree to hold the event. According to Paragraph 7, they can also attend debates for candidates hosted by organizations other than the committee. Even in this case, all candidates must agree to hold the debate.

The above-mentioned committee refers to the “election management committee” that was renamed from the existing “election management committee” to reflect the recommendations of the Korean Sports and Olympic Committee, which stipulates specific regulations such as the formation of the committee, prohibition, and return of deposits for fair elections on the 12th of last month. 메이저놀이터

Ahead of this election, the KFA confirmed the number of electors on the 12th and completed the formation of a committee in charge of overall election-related tasks such as announcing the sentence, drawing up electors and rosters, receiving registration of candidates for the chairman, and managing votes. Employees of KFA and KFA affiliated organizations cannot be election management members. In addition, there must be at least two-thirds of outside members who are not executives and employees of the Korea Sports Council and sports association member organizations, with a total of eight members, including four lawyers, three professors, and one from a media organization.
