Bucheon FC1995 (owner Cho Yong-ik, Mayor of Bucheon, hereinafter Bucheon) has strengthened its defense by recruiting rookie Kim Won-joon, a central defender of Dong-A University.
Kim Won-jun, who started playing soccer at Seongnam FC U12, later entered Dong-A University after passing Daegu FC U15 and 18. Kim Won-jun is a promising player who boasted outstanding individual skills early on and won the 2016 Hwarang Dae-gi National Youth Soccer Competition scoring award as a youth.
In particular, he showed further improvement after going to college, leading the team to second place at the 2022 Autumn National High Competition and receiving the Outstanding Player Award. He also led the team to second place by starting in both the 19th Tongyeong 1st and 2nd Year College Football Competition and the 60th Autumn College Football Federation Competition in 2024.
Kim Won-jun is a left-footed center back who boasts excellent defense based on his 188cm and 78kg physical, and is characterized by good build-up play from the back.
Earlier, coach Lee Young-min had grown promising central defense resources in Bucheon, including Lee Dong-hee (Pohang) and Seo Myung-kwan.
