T1, who finished the confrontation with Brion with a complete victory, talked about the evaluation of this match and about ‘Keria’ Min-seok Ryu, who celebrated the 3rd anniversary.
T1 won with a set score of 2-0 in the 2nd match of the 4th week of the 2023 League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) Spring held at Roll Park located in Jongno-gu, Seoul on the 8th.
The contents of the interview after the game with coach Seong-Woong Bae and Min-Seok “Keria” Ryu participated are as follows.
Q1. Please tell us how you feel about winning against Brion.
Manager Bae Seong-woong: It’s fortunate that we finished 2-0 against Brion, and I think we’ll have to finish the remaining matches well.
Min-seok “Keria” Ryu: I felt that Brion was communicating well with each line this split. So I paid a lot of attention in the first half and I am happy that the result came out as a victory.
Q2. How did you prepare for Week 4?
Coach Seong-Woong Bae: Some patches have changed, and there are parts that we felt the need for the composition that we didn’t do during the tournament, so we prepared differently for the last set.
Min-Seok “Keria” Ryu: With Yumi being nerfed, there is no need to ban Yumi on the Red Side this patch, so I thought we could ban Tier 1 players like Ash Barus and allow champions like Aphelios to appear. So I think I practiced the composition without all the bottoms.
Q3. In the 2nd set, Lucian-Nami also chose to divide, and the opponent responded with Sona. Is this expected? And how did you try to solve the laning battle?
Ryu “Keria” Min-seok: I didn’t expect it, but the analyst told me about performance, so I thought about it before. I felt like I was going to keep aiming for the bottom dive while making the laning stronger, so I should have done it cautiously, but thinking that the laning was going better than I thought, I was trying to lead excessively, and it was regrettable that I made a mistake.
Q4. Last week, it was argued that T1’s playstyle should be diversified. What do you think about this?
Director Seong-Woong Bae: I think there are parts that can’t be helped because the current meta itself is heavily focused on the bot. However, if we do not feel particularly uncomfortable about such a situation, it is unlikely that our play style will change significantly. However, if problems continue to appear, you may have to think about changing the way you play, but I still think that the current play is close to the correct answer in the current meta.
Q5. Ryu Min-seok celebrated the 3rd anniversary of his debut. How do you feel about this?
Min-seok Ryu of “Keria”: It’s been 3 years since I’ve shown you so far, and I’m grateful for the thought that you are giving me so much support and interest. Along with the thought that I have to work harder, I have a strong desire to continue to grow both as a person and as a player.
Q6. What was the happiest or most memorable moment in the past 3 years?
Min-seok “Keria” Ryu: I think the happiest moment was sharing a lot of emotions with Kim “Deft” Hyuk-gyu when the 2020 World Championship was confirmed at DRX. And the most memorable moment is the recent world championship finals, and I still think of that time sometimes when I think about tournaments or lol. At that time, I thought of doing it without regrets, but in the end, I think the regrets left behind have become the most memorable moments even now.
Q7. From the manager’s point of view, how would you rate Ryu Min-seok, who has just entered his 3rd year?
Head coach Seong-Woong Bae: Three years is short if it is short, but long if it is long, he continues to show good form and is playing his career. In the next 5 or 10 years, I think that I am a player who can continue to do well, so I hope that he will continue to develop his potential and become a good player. 슬롯사이트
Q8. Currently, many teams or officials are citing T1’s strength as the best in the league. What are your thoughts on this? And which team is the closest?
Coach Seong-Woong Bae: In fact, what I feel after watching the tournament is that any team can win, even the teams in the top 3 or the bottom ranks, and seeing that they continue to win one set, I think there is room for any team to achieve good results with no absolute difference. . Our team also doesn’t think that we are unconditionally number one. In fact, it’s hard to cut out any one team, but I think there are a lot of strong teams in the LCK, and I think it would be good for us to show a good performance within it.
Min-seok “Keria” Ryu: During last year’s Spring and World Championship process, I thought, “This is enough to aim for the championship,” and I was actually satisfied with my performance, but this year, I don’t think I’m close to winning or going to the finals. I think it will be possible if we develop through the remaining games and become a team that can perfectly perform our play. I also think that everyone is doing well, but watching the game, this team is really good, but the team that the ending is regrettable was Hanwha Life Insurance, and it became an opportunity to make the details my own through a head-to-head match.
Q9. There are many scenes where T1 benefits from the bottom by using it as a ranged dealer or strong champion support in laning matches. What is the center of this operation?
Min-seok “Keria” Ryu: I think being able to pick high-value picks from the upper body is one of our team’s strengths, and at the bottom, I think it’s good to give high-value picks enough time to get past weak turns and hit them in the second half. did. I used this operation during the game and the results were good, so I used it steadily.
Q10. What are your resolutions for the next game?
Coach Seong-Woong Bae: We are competing for ranking with Gen.G, but maintaining first place is important for us to go through the season comfortably, so we will win the DRX match first.
Ryu “Keria” Min-seok: I think “Beril” Joon-hee Cho is the best among supporters, so I think he can win if he doesn’t give him the composition he wants. The variable is that Jo Joon-hee creates the desired composition and solves the game, but it would be difficult in that situation.
