Coach Lee Woon-jae, the main player of the 2002 Korea-Japan World Cup “Four-Finals Myth,” will be the goalkeeper coach of the Vietnamese national soccer team led by head coach Kim Sang-sik.

According to management company DJ Management on the 25th, Lee recently joined the Vietnamese national team as a goalkeeper coach.

Lee, who played an active role as a goalkeeper representing Korea, contributing to the semifinals of the 2002 Korea-Japan World Cup, has been a coach for the U-23 national team, Suwon Samsung, and Jeonbuk Hyundai since retirement.

“Coach Lee Woon-jae is a former goalkeeper who represents Korea’s four-time World Cup team. His joining is motivating the goalkeepers of the Vietnamese national team,” Kim Sang-sik said.

The Vietnamese national team, which has been training in Gyeongju, North Gyeongsang Province since the 23rd, will participate in the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Mitsubishi Cup, which will open on the 8th of next month.
