The South Korean national soccer team failed to continue its winning streak with another draw with Palestine.
South Korea, led by head coach Hong Myung-bo, drew 1-1 with Palestine, ranked 100th in the FIFA rankings, at Amman International Stadium in Jordan on the 19th (local time).
The winning streak stopped at four, but ended the entire 2024 A-match schedule by leading Group B with six consecutive undefeated games (4 wins, 2 draws, 14 points).
On this day, South Korea deployed Oh Se-hoon (Matcha), Son Heung-min (Tottenham) and Lee Kang-in (Paris Saint-Germain) on the left and right sides.
Lee Jae-sung (Mainz), Hwang In-beom (Feyenoord), and Park Yong-woo (Al Ain) were in operation in the midfield, while Lee Myung-jae (Ulsan), Kim Min-jae (München), Jo Yoo-min (Sharja) and Seol Young-woo (Zvezda) were lined up in the four-back. Cho Hyun-woo (Ulsan) wore goalie gloves.
In the 12th minute of the first half, South Korea was hit. Defender Kim Min-jae’s pass to the back while competing with the opponent was too short, and goalkeeper Cho Hyun-woo ran out in a hurry, but Palestinian Zayed Kunbar quickly scored the first goal with a right footed shot after sliding.
Korea immediately balanced the goal. After receiving Lee Jae-sung’s penetrating pass at the 16th minute in the first half, Son put his right foot inside from the left side of the goal area to the opposite post. With the goal, Son has 51 goals overall in A-match games, surpassing Hwang Sun-hong (50 goals) to rank second overall in goals overall after Cha Bum-keun (58), former coach of Suwon Samsung.
After tying the game, South Korea continued to drive. In the 24th minute of the first half, Oh Se-hoon connected Lee Myung-jae’s cross with a header, but slightly over the crossbar. In the 37th minute, the goalkeeper hit Lee Kang-in’s left-footed shot, and Son Heung-min shot the ball again, but it was blocked by the defense. 메이저놀이터

In the 19th minute of the second half, Korea excluded Lee Jae-sung and Lee Kang-in, and introduced Bae Joon-ho (Stoke) and Oh Hyun-kyu (Henk) to score a come-from-behind goal. Since then, he has been knocking on the Palestinian goal but failed to score, and the game ended in a 1-1 draw.
