Players from various countries participated in the 2024 K League Queen Cup.

The “2024 K-WIN CUP” hosted by the Korea Professional Football Federation (President Kwon Oh-gap, hereinafter referred to as the “Federation”) will be held at Jecheon Football Center for two days from the 12th to the 13th. This year’s “K-League Queen Cup” will be sponsored by Beljay, Jecheon City, Fit Together, Crush, Ringti and Dongwon Spring Water, and funded by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the National Sports Promotion Agency.

The “K League Queen Cup” has been held annually by the federation since 2010 to expand the base of women’s amateur soccer (excluding 2020 COVID-19), and is an adult women’s soccer tournament in which each K League club selects players and forms a team to participate. The “K League Queen Cup” was held as a women’s college football tournament until 2022, but from 2022, it was reorganized into an adult women’s soccer tournament, adding to the vitality with more diverse participants and age groups.

Players from various countries participated in the event. The player who received great attention on the first day of the championship was Natta, wife of Valdivia of the South Jeolla Dragons. Natta displayed bold shots both at the mid field and at the forefront to elevate the mood. South Jeolla Province, which belongs to Group B, finished the regular league by ranking fourth in the group with one win and three losses.

Marie introduced herself, “I was playing women’s futsal in Busan, and I wanted to move to another area and participate in the competition, so I entered Gyeongnam and participated together.”

She showed off her intense passion. She said, “I move to Changwon for training. I go there once a week.” The reason why she didn’t play soccer in Busan was, “I didn’t know there was a Busan team. That’s why I had the chance to go all the way to Changwon and I got to participate.” 메이저사이트

“I’ve been doing it since I was young, I took a break in high school and took a break for six years, and I started again last year. It’s so nice to play soccer again, and I was so sad that I didn’t win the previous game,” he added.

Marie is feeling the popularity of women’s soccer. She was surprised, saying, “The number of women’s soccer players has increased a lot. I’ve been flapping a lot since last year, and I’ve known a lot of people last year, but now I know a lot of people who don’t.”

Marie first came to Korea to study at the age of 20. She said, “I came here to study. I’m a student at Pusan National University. I came here at the age of 20, and it’s been four years. In the U.S., I lived in Seattle. I’m still a college student.”
