The traffic in Jordan was beyond imagination.

The national soccer team, led by head coach Hong Myung-bo, will play the third round of the Asian qualifying round for the 2026 North-China World Cup in Amman, Jordan, on the 10th. Jordan, with only one win and one tie leading in the score, is the group leader, and South Korea is second.

The team’s main staff, who announced its roster on April 30, arrived in Amman, Jordan on Monday afternoon. Korean residents also welcomed Coach Hong Myung-bo and the players at Queen Alia Airport.

Currently, 21 out of 26 players in the team have joined. Lastly, five members of Hwang In-beom, Kim Min-jae, Lee Kang-in, Lee Han-beom and Seol Young-woo are scheduled to join on the 8th of Korean time.

The team was originally scheduled to conduct a recovery training camp at an auxiliary training camp next to Amman International Stadium, where the match will take place on July 7. However, the team failed to calculate the deadly traffic jam in Jordan.

Ahead of the training scheduled for 5 p.m. local time, an advance team including head coach Hong Myung-bo departed from the hotel for the training site 40 minutes earlier. However, Jordan’s traffic jam was so severe that vehicles were unable to move even on the side of the road.

Eventually, the team canceled outdoor training on the afternoon of the 7th and changed it to fitness training at the hotel. 토토사이트

“If we keep going like this, we’ll just waste two hours stuck in traffic. There is nothing good about managing the team’s condition,” a KFA source said. “After much consideration, the bus never left the hotel and carried out training sessions at the hotel.”

Players warmed up simply by cycling and by yoga and Pilates. Jung Woo-young warmed up by running. Hwang Hee-chan started warming up by bike.

The team plans to conduct a tactical inspection through outdoor training from the 8th. Fortunately, the grass condition at the Korean training site, which was checked by reporters, is rather better than in Korea. The players had no problem preparing for the match against Jordan.
